The Tribal Culture and Rural Development Agency is a non-profit making organization registered under Society Registration Act, run by the committed individual of 7 members and a committee headed by its president. The organization is formed to initiate development activity in rural areas inhibited by tribal population of Chandel district, Manipur state in India. Its objective is to serve, seek to preserve and generate development works among the tribal’s society economically and culturally relevant to the areas. The main focus area of the organization is on the rural people especially youths, women, the elderly, disadvantaged children and orphans.
The organization started with own membership collections, donations and contributions by well-wishers ultimately lead to run its own private school. The core issues addressed by Tribal Culture and Rural Development Agency since its inceptions are: Imparting education to the tribal children; setting up hostel, computer training centre and skill development centre for underprivileged tribal children and orphans to promote cultural contribution; health care and eradication of HIV with support from national and international agencies.
